NesLan Wedding Trivia #1

We're getting closer and closer to our special date, and we can't control our excitement! Just 118 days to go before we tie the knot!

Most of you may wonder why we chose 21.11.2010 as our wedding date. It is not our anniversary date. It is also not our red letter day.

We actually had a number of considerations in choosing a wedding date:
1. Outside of rainy season which is generally July - October.
2. Not anywhere near our birthdays or holidays to spread out the dates of special occasions.
3. Enough time to prepare on every aspect of the wedding, from spiritually, to financially, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Add to that the long list of required documents and certificates!
Some reasons even bordering the superstitious and unusual:
4. Numerology - add the digits of the date and the sum will be "8" which is a lucky number. We're avoiding historically bad numbers like "4" and "23."
5. Astrology - according to the 2010 Lunar Calendar, this date falls on a full moon. According to ancient beliefs, getting married on a full moon brings good luck to the couple.

Yeah, we know the reason #4 and 5 are a bit lame, but we don't like to take any chances :)
