BRIDAL GOWN DESIGN AND COUTURE

Another item in our wedding preps checklist that challenged us (Ness in particular) is the wedding gown design and fashion designer. It was a difficult decision to make especially since there are lots of beautiful, elegant, and unique designs to choose from.

It took a long time for my baby to find the perfect gown she had envisioned in her mind. She narrowed down her choices to 5 and, with my help, she was able to make a final decision. After months of searching and researching magazines and online catalogs, Ness finally found THE ONE!

The next step is to look for a creative fashion designer. This is also a challenging endeavor because there many talented and very good Filipino fashion designers that have made their mark not only locally but also globally. I have to give it to my baby also for finding a gold mine in Mr. Edwin Uy. Edwin, who is dubbed as the "Designer to the Celebrities," is known for designing the bridal gowns of Jenny Quizon (wife of Vandolph), and for dressing up celebrities and VIPs with elegant and luxurious gowns. His other clients include Kuh Ledesma, Bea Alonzo, Alessandra de Rossi, Regine Velasquez, Pops Fernandez, among others. So my baby now is in the same league as these big celebrities! My baby has all praises for Edwin who is friendly and open to her suggestions.

Recently, my baby was invited by Mr. Edwin Uy to see her gown. She was very excited to finally see her gown. She also fitted the lining of her gown and learned she needs to shed a few inches on her waist :-) But nonetheless you will agree that she looks even more amazing and glamorous while wearing her dress. The details are still in the works, so that's something to look forward to in the coming weeks.

I can imagine her slowly walking down the aisle while wearing this very dress, as I wait in front of the altar until our hands touch each other.. There goes that rush of blood flowing in my veins once again, we're both very excited!
